India Summer Fellow, 2026
Madison Story is a first-year student in the college considering majoring in Political Science, Climate and Sustainable Growth, and/or Global Studies. She has a specific interest in the intersection between global issues, such as climate change and global health, with international relations and policy implementation. On campus, Story is a student assistant for the Middle East Music Ensemble, and she is a percussionist in the Wind Ensemble.
Story attended the India Summer Fellows Program in 2026 to see the effects of climate change first-hand, and learn about the work being done in India to tackle these growing problems.
“The India Summer Fellows Program was an experience that not only taught me valuable lessons about climate and growth challenges but also gave me a new perspective on the world. I learned that climate challenges and their solutions vary widely across different countries, and that there are many nuances to those problems. Furthermore, India is very different from any other country I have visited. I gained a new perspective and felt immersed in a different way of life and culture, which is an experience I’ll never forget.”
